&Achilles Tendonitis=The Achilles tendon connects the Gastrocnemius and Soleus to the calcaneus. Achilles tendonitis can be acute or chronic. Acute Achilles tendonitis may happen as a result of overuse and presents with pain on the tendon worse with waking, swelling and redness over the entire Achilles tendon. There may have crepitus or "creaking" when palpating the tendon and moving the foot.
