&Enteropathic Arthropathy=Arthritis of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Enteropathic arthropathy): Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis are associated with the extraintestinal manifestation of peripheral arthritis in approximately 10-20%25 of cases. The arthritis associated with IBD is typically oligoarticular, migratory and asymmetric and it generally affects the lower limbs. The inflammatory arthritis may lead to large joint effusions, especially in the knees. Other associated conditions include uveitis, aortic regurgitation and skin manifestations. Spondylarthropathy accounts for approximately 10-20%25 of the arthritis associated with IBD. Clinically it is similar to AS, except that the sacroiliitis maybe unilateral. The common presentation of Enteropathic Arthritis is asymmetric, oligoarticular and migratory. Generally affecting the lower limbs, specially the knees.
