&Hepatitis C=Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is a common cause of persistent viral infection. Many infected patients have extrahepatic symptoms including arthralgias and myalgias. Other clinical manifestation include glomerulonephritis  and vasculitis. Arthritis is noted in 2 to 20 percent of HCV patients and may present as a rheumatoid-like picture (symmetric polyarthritis).
